With the chassis painted, I took great delight in putting back some of the rubber closing/ sealing pieces. Wherever possible I re-used the original rubber.
I fitted the ones near the bonnet-pull levers.....
I put these into a bed of CT-1 silent and then crimped them closed a little.
I fitted the rubber fringes down the sides of the scuttle side panels.......
No CT-1 here. These are fitted using 'Z' clips. On each side, there is an additional clip that is used as a fixing point for the shield in the backs of the wheel arches.
I also used contact adhesive to put back on the sills, the patchwork of 'jersey rhovyline' seat fabric offcuts that are (presumably) used to stop the Pallas running board trim rattling.

I fitted the rubber fringes along the edges of the rain channels.......
As above, I made a bed of CT-1 and then crimped these in.
And i fitted the ones around the 'elephants ears'.......

Yep - CT-1 and crimping again. I had to use reproduction rubbers here as my ones were as stiff as plastic and probably would have prevented the rear wings fitting properly.
I also fitted the plastic beading around the boot opening.

I'm using this type of boot edging because I plan to refit a new foam seal in my bootlid and because it's what my car would have had back in the day. Again, no CT-1. These just slid into their (re-shaped) channels - with some effort.
It really is starting to look like a car again.
